The work performed in this project is divided into three thematic work packages, supplemented by an overarching work package, which serves as both a project management device and a synthesis of the research. All country consortiums will act as single integrated teams led by the countries’ PIs. The project as a whole has significant integration between country teams through involving all countries in all thematic work packages.
Schematic of project organization
Conceptual relationship between work packages
Work package 1: Situating global delta-knowledge networks in relation to other global knowledge networks (co-led by UK and Japan)
Work package 2: Historical perspectives on travels of Western delta technosciences (led by NL)
Work package 3: Understanding embedded present day delta knowledges and practices (led by France)
Work package 4: Synthesis ? Transversal themes and issues in delta management (co-led by all PIs)
This package aims to draw the conceptual and methodological lessons of the other three WPs together to advance understanding of deltas' dealings with uncertainty and to uncover and further develop fit-for-purpose guiding principles at different scales. This overarching work package will also include the coordination of the project (including internal communication) and external communication
